Failure investigation
What we offer
CCI provide a fault investigation service either as the primary investigator or as an owners representative attending and/or reviewing evidence and opinion presented by others.
CCI has its own laboratory where cable system components can be dissected and detailed investigations made. If required investigations can be performed in the presence of interested third parties.
It can be advantageous to attend the site of a failure to understand the location, the extent of damage, identification of the failed component and any items that it might be useful to be retained for further laboratory investigation.
Our experience
We have performed fault investigations on both land and subsea cable systems and their components.
Where a client is in need of expert witness evidence CCI engineers have given such evidence to arbitration, public inquiry and court proceedings both in the UK and abroad.
